Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween.  Hard to believe October is already over.  The months have really flown by since we returned home in May.

Tonight I will be celebrating Halloween at home, trying to hide from the Trick-or-Treaters in our neighborhood.  I may give out a few piece of candy but it's hard to answer the door and control the dog at the same time.  Since Kelly is working tonight I'll be on my own.

We celebrated the holiday last weekend with our annual trip to my coworker's party.  She does an amazing job decorating and we always enjoy going.  This year Kelly went as an elf off the shelf while I went as the Miller High Life delivery guy.  Not our best costumes but they were simple and effective.  My problem is I always have the perfect idea for a costume around February and inevitably forget by October.

We do decorate the house a little with dollar store decorations.  We just have one box of decorations, unlike Christmas where we have enough boxes to make it looks like we are moving.  I carved two pumpkins this year.  This was the first year I used power tools and it worked out okay.  I still have all ten fingers so bonus points for me.
