I finally did it. For years I have resisted getting a smartphone. Yesterday I finally broke down and purchased a Motorola Droid Razr M from Verizon.
This is actually the first phone I've ever even paid for. It was on sale for $50, plus the bullshit $30 upgrade fee so Verizon can charge me for data every month. Having to get a data plan has always been the biggest reason for me not getting a smartphone. With the availability of wifi, it really is ridiculous that I have to purchase a monthly plan for something I won't use regularly.
As for the Razr M, it is one sweet phone and I barely know how to use it. The 8megapixel camera, along with the text to talk and voice command programs are amazing. This phone is scary smart.
I'm sure it will take some time for me to learn all the cool features. Hopefully I don't become an
addict.
