The Adventure Continues

Our Semester at Sea is now officially over.  The ship sailed away from Barcelona sometime yesterday evening and is full of a new group of people off to travel the world.  I couldn't bring myself to see the ship off; it would have been too hard.

Our adventure is continuing here in the narrow alleyways and tapas restaurants of Barcelona.  Since the weather is not cooperating with our beach plans, it's rainy and overcast, we are adapting by once again eating our way through the culture.  Maybe the sky is crying over the ship leaving.  It is ironic that we had pretty much perfect weather throughout the voyage and the day it ends the rain comes.

We are fortunate to have two of our best friends from home, Steve and Tara, join us here in Spain to celebrate the end of our trip.  It's great having friends to share all our stories with, though we haven't subjected them to the pictures yet.  We'll save that for when we have downtime at home, like five hours of downtime.  So many pictures.  In the meantime we are eating delicious meals with great coffee and fabulous bread.  The carb-loading continues.

We will try to meet up one more time with a few friends from SAS before we pack up and head to the airport Monday.  We've got a long day of travel but I am excited because the reward waiting at the end is one excited dog.  Libby we're comin' home!
