The call came around noon.
The seas had gotten too rough and it was time to abandon ship. Frightened and cold, we donned our
lifejackets and huddled in our muster stations.
Boarding the lifeboats was a challenge but we all pulled together and
made it onboard safe and sound.
I snapped one last picture as we pulled away from the ship
and we made our way to shore. It was a
harrowing journey over rough seas. Thankfully
we made it safely to the shores of Namibia and are now recuperating from the
day.
Hard to believe it happened today…
April Fool’s. None of
that actually happened. The picture
above is from a water taxi we took in Mauritius. We are safe and sound and on our way to
Ghana.
