Get Sauced with G Love

I'm a big fan of hot sauce.  I currently have seven different hot sauces in my fridge.  Seven?  Yes, two homemade batches, Sriracha(the red rooster), Franks' Red Hot, Texas Pete's Extra Hot, Tapatio Mexican hot sauce and my newest addition, G Love's Special Hot Sauce.

I've been a fan of G Love's music since back in the late 90s but within the last few years I've fallen back in love with his music.  His most recent album, Fixin to Die, is a masterpiece of bluegrass, funk, soul perfection.  I've gotten to see him twice in the last two years and both concerts were outstanding.  So when I learned that he was making his own hot sauce it sounded like the perfect blend of two things I really enjoy.

Unfortunately when I went to order a bottle I discovered that while a bottle is $4, the shipping would have been almost $12!  This would have made it close to $16 for a bottle and my cheapness would not allow it.  So there was only one logical solution, order a case through the wholesale link for $30 including shipping.

I ordered it last Friday and it was here by Tuesday.  The first thing I noticed was that it was bottled and shipped in Louisiana, a very good sign.   It even came with one of those old school yellow packing slips signed by a real person, Micheal.  When I opened it up there they were, 24 bottles staring up at me begging to be put on everything I eat.

I cracked my first bottle that night and poured it over a pork pasta bake we were having for dinner.  The verdict: G Love is a master musician and one hell of a hot sauce maker.  It's got a nice tangy flavor with a very nice blend of spices that won't over-power your meal.  I foresee using it on many meals.

Now even I can't use all 24 bottles so I'll be passing them out to friends.  End of summer BBQ.  You get sauced.  Dinner party with friends.  You get sauced.  And when I take my trip around the world in January, well I may need another case by then to pass out some bottles in each country I go.

And as the tagline on the bottle says, "Put it on your food, not your baby!"
